First flight of 2007

Each year, the Gardner Flight School holds their annual Chili Lunch. The weather turned out to be beautiful, so we made the quick hop up for some chili. A great turnout!

Passing a C-150

(As we were warming up to depart from Ottawa, one of the new C150's on the field was also getting ready to head up to the Chili lunch. He was already warmed up, so we let him taxi in front of us and depart while we waited 7-10 minutes for the oil to warm up. We departed and turned NW for K34 and it wasn't a minute later I had picked him out in the sky. I leveled off at 3000ft and lost site of him in the ground. Sandi picked him up a couple minutes later but thought it was a different airplane because to her it looked like he was flying toward us. I kept telling her he wasn't but she wasn't convinced until we went blowing by him. Sandi got a real kick out of it. He landed about 5 minutes after we did!)

Final appraoch into K34

The airplane logged exactly 160 hours in 2006 and traveled all over the country. We hope to put on as many hours again this year hitting the usual fly-in's and some new places we haven't visited.
